Last week was the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards as sponsored by Next.
I was shortlisted for Best Established Fashion Blog. And it was surreal. But fun!
We were all jam packed in The Rose Club for the awards announcement. I made friends with the lovely Ashlyn as I was walking in and we took up a good place by the bar - why, but OF COURSE - and kept our fingers crossed. Actually, it might have worked as our little corner seemed to be chock full o' winners, including Ashlyn herself!

I wore a oxblood H&M sparkly skirt, ancient black polo neck, spiked Topshop headband, vintage clutch and my BELOVED Miista Batilda boots! It was an outfit that had to multi-task through meetings, work and the event and I think it did alright, although I mostly look mega dull in the photos. None of them catch the sheer JOY that is my skirt - I will try and wear it on here soon!
I had my tarot cards read by crazy tarot lady Amelie Appleby. I'm not so sure about my reading, exactly, but it was fun to do and she was lovely. She made me chose a word from the word bowl and I got....
...COMMUNICATION. #lol
I got some flash eyelashes by Lash Perfect. I naturally picked the most boring lashes and the girl was all like "GO CRAZY!!1!" so I was like "FINE" and then I picked the second most boring lashes. But they were fit!
I also got an immense goodie bag. Immense. IMMENSE!
It was lovely to see Vanessa, Laura (see that cutie below), Jen, Kristabel, Jasmine, Tara and to meet Emily, Madison, Natalie and Rachel (who I want to move to London and be my BFF immediately, please.) Who am I forgetting from the night? I'm tired but I still love you.
I didn't win my category - the lovely Charlene took the prize, quite deservedly - but I am totally still a winner, right? I was kind of blown away that 35,000 blogs were entered. THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND. In all honestly, I actually feel quite overwhelmed to have been shortlisted.
