It's a beautiful day in London today! Well. It was beautiful: it's now grey and horrid and returning to gloom. But this morning was a beautiful morning and, like I said in my last post, I'm feeling Spring-like. I'm trying to bring the Spring on by sheer force of will power, ok?
I've been immersing myself in Spring/Summer lookbooks to harness that feeling and also to inspire myself, as I'm in real glum rut at the moment. I need to shake out this can't-be-bothered-to-get-dressed feeling and look lively now, please, in time for London Fashion Week!
Here are seven of my favourite mens and womens lookbooks that are inspiring me right now...
I love the J. Crew lookbook. Every. Single. Time. Sigh.
I want to be a awesome print clashing J. Crew girl SO HARD.
Libertine have made a masculine but intensely steal-able collection. I love that jumper and those trousers for me, please.
I'm not one of those Cara Delevingne superfans but I love these shots of from Polish label Reserved’s spring-summer 2013 collection photographed by Mateusz Stankiewicz. Sporty and sexy, no? I have a pair of highly sexy sporty shorts that I am waiting (im)patiently for the weather to get nicer for. I need a cap too, now!
YMC (You Must Create) is fast turning into one of my favourite labels. I love the casting in their latest menswear lookbook, which is basically my fashion-y way of saying they're all fit. (They are totally all fit, you guys!)
I went to the River Island Spring/Summer press day and was impressed with their grungey looks for summer. At the moment, though, I'm seriously into these candy striped dresses. I want to wear one to the seaside!
A.P.C's menswear range gives a boner. Seriously. I am IMMENSLY attracted to dudes dressed like this. I happen to have a very handsome man of my own (well, he belongs to himself but you know what I mean) that dresses like this and it makes me SWOON. I love this collection, basically.
And, I've saved the best until last...
That second photo. OMGZ.
Karen Walker sunglasses Spring/Summer lookbook shot by Ari Seth Cohen and his band of beautiful, incredible, sophisticated Advanced Style ladies. Yes, yes, YES YES YESYESYESYESYES. ALL THE YESES. I adore them all. Kudos, Karen Walker. You may now have all my money.
Which is your favourite? What's on your wishlist for Spring?
I basically THRIVE on comments so tell me there, amigos!
