Recently, in the spirit of all things Christmassy, I was asked to take part in a Westfield London (that's the Shepherd's Bush one, yo) holiday blogger challenge! I've loved Westfield's previous challenges like bloggers doing AW12 trends and dressing for your shape so I said HELL YEAH.
That's how I ended up with the task of picking a Christmas Day Glam outfit for under £100. Easy! I thought. Well, kinda. There is more pressure than you think when you have two hours at a mahoosive shopping center and no idea where to start!
My theme might have been all about the glam BUT I didn't want to go too crazy. Christmas Day for me is about love, giggles and cuddles - getting excited about Santa with my mum, laughing with my brother and cosying up on the sofa with my sweetheart. I want to look glam but I also want to be cosy and comfortable so I can eat all the toffee pennies from the Quality Street tin in front of It's A Wonderful Life. Priorities, yeahhh?
I like to wear sequins to celebrate the little Baby Jesus but I also need to be able to eat twenty Yorkshire puddings so I did like this sequin peplum top from Topshop, partly because it's super stretchy. It looked cute teamed with these amazing black velvet shorts that I need need need in my life. NEED.
I loved this sequin crop top in French Connection (above) but, um, Christmas dinner + a crop top? NO, Amy, you ridiculous creature. They also had a gorgeous waistcoats type of thing that I loved but was sadly a little out of the budget.
Also: I keep trying and failing to do a drop waist but I just don't have the right shape for it. I am learning my lesson but this gold and black stripe Topshop number was cute, though!
Anyway... here's what I picked! Comfy, cosy AND super sparkly... WIN.

This dress is super comfy and cosy and is more glittery than you could shake a whole bunch of glittery sticks at. It probably doesn't need any more sparkle but hey, I couldn't resist these gorgeous Accessorize earrings. I've got green tights to match - festive, riiiiight? - and as for shoes, I'll be teaming these pieces with some ankle boots: I've got my eyes on these gorgeous Cosy boots by Nine West.
