I am shameless when it comes to clothes shopping. I will buy aprons from Ikea and wear them as dresses. I will buy pillowcases from charity shops and try to make them into skirts. And, to be honest, I've been known to just THROW material around me and hope for the best.
I will buy things from any section - womens, mens, kids - without a hint of embarrassment. This works surprisingly often but I'm come unstuck by mens shoes. I love mens shoes! My feet do not love mens shoes! This is not fair!
I am usually attracted to the casual end of formal mens shoes which is generally a nuisance all around. Womens footwear just doesn't often replicate the same styles. This season, though, I've had better luck and am totally in love with all the current crop of androgynous styles that work for everyone. I've picked four of my favourites which are all available at House of Fraser!
Ok: I think the men win here. While the womens Jones the Bootmaker ankle boot brogue is cute, nothing beats those Bertie mens boots for me. I love them!

Biker boot styles look proper fit on men and women - that's a true fact right there, my friends. I love the idea of a couple wearing these and matching in a subtle way. Remember when I had my perceptions on UGG totally changed earlier this year? They're keeping up the good work with this womens boots!
This battle is a total draw because both of these boots are classic and ACE.

Chelsea boots are EVERYWHERE this season but I'm especially into a Chelsea with a little bit of jazz, you know what I mean? Pied a Terre are totally rocking up their Chelseas for men and women - I cannot pick between these pairs at all. I would wear them both!

Navy gives me a boner. It's probably my favourite 'neutral' colour and it's a total winner on girls and guys alike. I think the womens boot from Oasis wins here... but maybe just because I want it for myself!
