Tonight me and my beau are off to see the musial Singin' in the Rain courtesy of Premier!
2012 is the 60th anniversary of the release of the movie which starred Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O’Connor. Seems like the perfect time to go see the musical version, right?
Apparently each performance of the Singin’ In The Rain musical uses 14 tonnes/14,000 litres of water! It is filtered, chlorinated and UV treated to keep it safe for the performers and audience and is heated to 30 degrees. But worry not: all of it is pumped from, recycled and pumped back into a 10 ton water tank in the orchestra pit - Singin’ In The Rain uses less than a bathtub of water each day!
It's inspired me to create some rainy day looks!
