Marais USA Shoes

I'm exhausted today from a weekend of too much fun, so forgive me if I don't write much today. But for this post, I don't think it'll matter too much as the pictures really do the talking for me!

 

 

I came across the Marais USA website last week and was just instantly besotted by their cleverly simple shoes, their gorgeous photographs and the happy-go-lucky spirit of the four girls that run the company. I love how Catherine, Caroline, Haley and Lexie all have a biography page with little details about them, images that inspire them, scenes from their favourite films and photos from their childhood! (And I love how Haley has a Mean Girls quote - I love that film.)

 

My favourites are the espadrille wedges, below, but each of their designs just seems like an instant classic. These are those timeless shapes that I hope to find when I'm vintage shopping and that I end up wearing to death. I love a bit of art on my feet but sometimes softly does it is the best way.

Perfect, simple, classic shoes: yes please.

 

 


Don't they just look like they're always having fun? I want to be a Marais girl!

i actually went to school with the girls who started/own this company. their shoes are great, and it's pretty damn impressive how successful they've been when we only graduated from school 2 years ago!
