Let's Get Ready to Jumble!

This is a much belated post, but: not last weekend but the weekend before Ellie from Pretty Much Penniless, Dianne from Dear oh Deer and I did our jumble sale at Let's Get Ready To Jumble! I was accidentally hungover (impromptu night out, whoops) and therefore late, but it still managed to happen.

I didn't make a million, but I did get rid of a lot of stuff that I didn't want, made some excellent swaps with Ellie - cowboy shirt/dress/purse/necklace (I'm wearing the dress here!) - not that we needed to go to a jumble to do that. (I have more than one of Ellie's cast-offs in my wardrobe!) Also, I traded for a pair of shoes and I bought only one thing: a beautiful 1950s skirt for £10. It was a bargain and it really is beautiful. And I was incredibly impressed at my self-restraint.

Oh wait, I lie: I also bought a keyring that says FUN on it in massive capital letters and a Violet name badge which I'm a bit obsessed with wearing right now. But, you know - they were 50p together, so. That hardly counts! I am wearing the name badge in the picture below, which is me and Ellie on our stall (after our already incredibly low prices were lowered. Bargain central!)

I did also want to buy a rose headband from Di but none of them were big enough to fit my fat head. Sad face. Her stall looked so pretty!

We also had some blogger loving. It was lovely to meet Hannah from Bow Dream Nation. We all loved her biscuit badges!

And here is some proof (albeit blurry) that we met the delicious Tory from Curve In The Mode! She and her friends Beth and Ben were all lovely but I was so hungover that I had to run away to eat some grease to help my aching body. You know how it is, right?

I also loved hanging out with the charming ladies in the next pitch, Alex and Jo. They made my day!

And this Sunday  that's just gone I went to the infamous Battersea car boot sale and bought 3 dresses, 2 bags and 3 books for a tenner. One of the dresses still had it's £40 tag on and one of the bags is brand new with tags Topshop leather! YUM. I promise to take pictures of my swaps and purchases from the jumble soon. Sunday is the day for bargains, no?

and i agree with hannah, we need to go to battersea soon despite the fact that i live there, hehe. i'm free most sundays, except for once a month when i go to a meeting at the v&a.

Haha. I think I was there! Although I didn't really buy anything as I was on a bit of a shopping ban. My boyfriend and I ended up there for brunch - I didn't even realise the jumble sale was on that week. But I thought it was really fun.
