This isn't a new thing for me (not at ALL) but later I'm craving headpieces. Again. My collection already has about a million hairbands, ranging from feathers to plastic to flowers to sequins, taking in some giant oversized bows along the one. But I want more! Always!

Lots of things from ban.do, of course. This was a one-off that's sold out, which is probably just as well... it was far too expensive. But looking is free, right?

Swooning over these limited edition floral wonders from Lou Lou Loves You. These two are my favourites, but what I really want is the shape of the first with the flowers from the second. I feel a custom order coming on!

And, lastly, these fabulous creations from Tour De Force, available to buy from Catwalk Genius. The green has been on my wishlist for at least nine months! I should stop buying little things and just hold out for a while. Besides, my other TDF headpiece needs a friend, right?

I did buy yesterday a super cute little hair band from New Look. It looks so sweet in my hair and was only £6.

It's helping to stem the cravings... for now, at least!

My final major project for university is all handed in and now my major projects are: A) Get a job. B) Sort my life out. C) Try not to stress about getting my results. Fun, huh?

I finally (after living here for ten months) got the internet sorted at my house... and it was incredibly easy, which is a lesson to me about putting things off. This means it'll be a summer of daily posting from me, hurray! So: D) Make Wolf Whistle a million times better.

I have about a million things to write about, including Graduate Fashion Week, press days and an up-coming competition, but I thought I'd ease myself in slowly after my break from blogging...

And this is the side and back view. The ASOS dress is in two parts: the draped bit goes over a plain vest top and they're attached at the bottom, which makes it like a giant tube with straps - sometimes I get stuck in it! It means I could put this crop top over the first layer but under the second and I love how the flower back looks poking out. I also accidentally dyed the dress a bit in the wash - the bottom layer is tinged purple now, but it works. I think, haha!

I've been inspired by Blair to start using Lookbook again, so if you're there come find me and we can be friends! I need some regular-babe company instead of just being surrounded by all the supermodel a-likes. This look is here if, you know, you wanna hype it. 

P.S. I dyed my hair tonight. It was supposed to be red - it's not. I am no longer a redhead! It's shocking to me, seriously. Pictures soon!

Sex and the City cocktails

So I have successfully ignored all the press releases filling my inbox about Sex and the City 2... except for the one that said "Hey, fancy coming for cocktails?" Well, ok. My arm has been twisted!

Sadly, I couldn't make it to the earlier cocktail tasting session but I did manage to catch up with some of the girls in the glamourous Skylon Bar in the Royal Festival Hall. It was all in celebration of the collaboration between Skyy Vodka and Skylon where head mixologist Zoran Peric (awesome name, that man!) has invented a gorgeous new twist on the Cosmopolitan, which turns 25 this year! Zoran have re-vamped the garnish and added a 'shooter 'of the cosmo, topped with champagne.

It was really nice just to chill on a sunny Monday afternoon by the Southbank and drinks cocktails with some gorgeous girls!

I just some more of my Grazia winnings on this beautiful locket, which I have the feeling I'll be wearing constantly this summer. It hands at just the right length and I've wanted a gold locket that's actually big enough to put a picture in for SO LONG. I put in a black and white photobooth picture of me and my boy having a smooch!

So. THE MOVIE. Me and my friend Kelly booked our tickets to Sex and the City 2 a few weeks ago and went last Saturday night, after I'd drunk four frozen margaritas (because we couldn't find anywhere doing cosmopolitans.) Yum!

Have you seen SATC2? What did you think? I'm a long term fan of the whole kit and caboodle but I still thought that it was a little bit too much like a Carry On movie. When Samantha said "He's the Lawrence of my labia!" I NEARLY DIED. And not in a Rachel Zoe way. More of a heart attack way.

Also: where was Miranda? She is my ultimate favourite character and she had barely more than a cameo. Cynthia Nixon FORRREVERRR.

What I'm Wearing: Henry Holland at Debenhams

Had a nice little mingle last night with some lovely blog ladies at the H! by Henry Holland launch at Debenhams on Oxford Street, which, in true fashion blogger tradition had the holy trinity of C's: champagne, cupcakes and clothes!

It was lovely to meet/catch-up with some other bloggers including the beautiful Reena from Fashion Daydreams (who wears Tesco and makes it look proper expensive), sweetheart Selina from Flying Saucer (I am kind of embarrassed about how long I've been reading her blog for), Carina from Carina 100 (who was my train buddy home), the shy lady from She Loves Mixtapes (babe, tell me your name! Who doesn't write their name on their blog?!), my old-school blog buddy Fiona from Save Our Shoes and Kirsty from Belle Fantaisie, who totally proved me wrong about a playsuit that I originally thought was gross by looking totally hot in it:

A lot of the clothes weren't for me: horror of horrors, I felt too old for some of them. But there is lots of fun, fresh stuff including an amazing pair of tie-dye leggings that I really r-e-a-l-l-y wanted. (I chose something else though, which is for my BFF Sarah Mia. What a good best friend, blah blah blah.)

Very kindly, the charming Dom (and cute, right? HI DOM YOU'RE CUTE)  at Debenhams let us choose two pieces. I chose the maxi dress, of course, to further my on-going commitment to  Sparkle Motion only wearing maxi-dresses and short-shorts this summer. Ellie from Pretty Much Penniless went to the earlier session but text me saying that she knew I'd chose that! Predictable? I kind of hope not, whoops.

And I am wearing it today...

Brief note on the sizing: I got a 16 (I'm usually a 12-14) and it is too big. BUT!

a) I was worried about the girls fitting in. When a dress has this style boob bit mine never get in, so I always go up a size or two. They don't really fit in this one either, but I think it looks fine.

b) I thought a bit baggy would be more comfortable - and besides, with the girls on display and the sexy knee high slits in the sides, there is enough flesh on show, right?

c) And, err, Fiona from Save our Shoes got the 14. DAMN YOU. (We are going to wear them out together at some point, like a Henry Holland hen party. LOL, etc.) 

 

AND I FEEL WELL SEXY. I've also got on my ridiculous peep-toe shoe boots that were a perfect match and a feather hairpiece that I bought from a girl at Brick Lane Market for £4. I liked the greens match and the girlie/military clash I've got going on here and also, I'm kind of having a bad fringe day and it is detracting from that. (Until I mentioned it, of course.) No other accessories (bag though, obvs)  -the dress/shoes totally are enough, anyway.
