I've written about Bitching & Junkfood here at Wolf Whistle before and not least about Marion, the lovely lady behind it, and how amazingly charming and stylish she is. My wishlist for that dangerous website is always incredibly long!

I was just reading Tweet, one of my absolute favourite blogs, who prompted me into mentioning the new clothing that Bitching and Junkfood will be stocking - Kokontozai, Belle Sauvague (swoon!) Rachel Friere, Cheap Monday, Take off your Clothes and others, alongside all the other amazing vintage and handmade items.

...but this might be my favourite: the Take Off Your Clothes inversion tee.

As the website says  - "Girls wear it one way for a body con skirt with big hooded cowl and guys wear it the other way for a classic tee with hood." Although I think I would wear it both ways, depending on my mood. This is too perfect a basic!

Giles Deacon for New Look

 

Love these behind the scenes images of the Giles Deacon show that popped into my inbox this week. Still not sure about the monster bags (haha!) but I'm definitely coveting the backcombed chignons and metal antler-like headpieces.

  

And, of course, it's nearly time for another Giles Deacon for New Look collection - the tenth already, can you believe it? My favourite so far is this gorgeous top. I can never resist a rose print!

So, I still can't believe it....

...but I won overall for Grazia's 'You the FROW-er!' writing competition! I am still head-over-heels giddy about it all, to tell you the truth. When I read the email I was at my parent's house and immediately screamed and ran off to tell my mum!

The team that picked me included Grazia’s Editor-in-Chief, Jane Bruton; Andrew Tucker, Course Director for the MA in Fashion Journalism at the London College of Fashion; Grazia Style Director Paula Reed; Designer Henry Holland and the fabulous Angela Buttolph of Grazia, who sent me a lovely email saying that they all unanimously picked me!

You can see the very sweet article they wrote about me here and read my winning show report here. My prize was a Blackberry Curve with a limited edition design by Henry Holland, front row tickets to a show at the next London Fashion Week and £1000 to spend on the fabulous my-wardrobe.com.

I really want to get an investment handbag, which is doubly exciting as I don't own anything at all designer. I've been window shopping this weekend and although I haven't decided yet, I definitely think that these babies should be in my future!

I took these photos on my HTC hero, which 3 mobile have kindly loaned me (and which I definitely do not want to give back.)

 

I think of this as my country and western jacket because not only is it cropped and 80s stonewash (yum) and has gold star studs and little silver mirror circles, it also has the worlds most insane beaded tassles. The picture below is not perfect, but it gives you a hint of how these babies run down both arms and all over the back. Amazing!
