I love Swatch Watches. I used to have a breakfast one with eggs and bacon and toast on it, how AWESOME. I wish I knew what had happened to that. In fact, I think everyone used to have one, right? Swatches totally get me on a nostalgia trip.
Anyway, my longing for a Swatch has been amplified by about 100% with their amazing new Colour Codes collection. I'm a bit of a matchy-matchy person (I know, I know, how old fashioned) and I get a bit uncomfortable if my accessories don't match. So I definitely want a couple of plain but bright watches... especially the white. Yum.
Swatch are currently running a competition on Facebook with lots of amazing magazines -- V, Wallpaper*, Dazed and Confused, Nylon, P.O.P. and i-D -- to see whose Swatch editorial wins the most votes! If you vote you might win a free Swatch watch: they'll be giving away 100 to random voters for the winner.
The winner so far looks like it might be Nylon, but I think these three are my favourites:
Another Magazine...
...and Wallpaper*'s bold stripes...
...though I think this shot for V may just win my vote.

So right now I'm at Somerset House enjoying London Fashion Weekend thanks to 3 mobile with my competition winner Eleanor from Pretty Much Penniless! This is just a quick reminder that I'll be tweeting with my HTC Hero all day at Twitter.com/wolfwhistle. Don't forget to check!
And if you're not following me yet... now would be a good time, huh?

So, to be completely fair, I decided that to pick the winner of my London Fashion Weekend competition sponsored by the HTC Hero I would be completely fair and put all the entries in a random number generator and let it decide for me. ( I have my phone now and it's SO GOOD!)
Thanks so much to those that entered. I know it was all a bit last minute but I got some lovely entries about love and nature and sweetness. You guys are soppy ones, aren't you?
But! These were my three favourite entries.
Best photo:
Jennifer (@stylecrusader) of The Style Crusader
"attending my first runway show at london fashion week and experiencing what all the madness and excitement is like first hand... the best things in life are free."
Most sweetness:
Sarah (@sweethearting) of Silence Sweetheart
"snowflakes on my window, while watching the sunrise above the clouds."
Pure LOLZ:
Eleanor (@ellietweeter) of Pretty Much Penniless
"playing dress
up-the funnest free thing ever"
And the random winner was... ELEANOR!
Congratulations, lady. See you tomorrow :)

I've posted before about my fantastic friend Hayley and a couple of weekends ago I styled a shoot as a test run for her final photography project for her degree at London College of Fashion. She's posted a couple of the photos on her blog and they are just beautiful. I love collaborating with Hayley! She's one of the best photographers ever.
The beautiful shots below were shot in black and white and then hand-tinted. Aren't they lovely?
And, relatedly, for MY final portfolio, Hayley and I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago for the first batch of beautiful ladies and have our next shoot scheduled in a couple of weeks. We shot 9 girls in something like 4 hours last time... hopefully next time we can be as quick too!
Here's a sneak preview of one of the ladies, Choco... too cute, huh?
Also, the same day we shot it she took a couple of quick ones of me... although I am no-where near as good as model as these girls, haha!

Ok. This is kind of a post all about me. But It's my blog, right?
ANYWAY.
1. IMPORTANT NEWS! The most EXCITING thing to happen to me for a while happened on Tuesday. Monday night I sat up late to write a London Fashion Week report on Erdem (who else? LOVELOVELOVE) for Grazia's writer competition... and on Tuesday I got the email saying I'd won. !!1! I was in the library with my best uni friends Harry and Georgie when I read the email and literally squealed. Sorry, librarians!
YOU CAN READ MY ARTICLE HERE (Capital letters necessary.)
See that picture at the bottom in the middle column? THAT'S MY NAME, THAT IS. On the front page of Grazia! (I'm still completely buzzing about this, you might be able to tell.)
2. And this is what I was wearing when I found out. Harry and I went to the Royal Festival Hall for a BBC World Book Club radio session with John Boyne, who wrote The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. It was fun! (And then we kind of accidentally went out in Soho and got drunk. Whoops.)
WEDNESDAY
Ancient grey lace dress // Urban Outfitters
Grey crop top (tied at the back) // American Apparel
Key necklace // Topshop
Heart tights // Topshop, but a present from my darling friend Celia!
Suede fringe boots // ASOS
Bangle watch // ASOS
Thanks for taking the pictures, Harry!
3. FINAL REMINDER FOR MY COMPETITION! If you want to come to London Fashion Weekend with me this Saturday and Tweet for free using the new HTC Hero all about our adventures there, you need to tweet me a picture @wolfwhistle showing 'the best things in life are free' and include the tag #freetwitteron3.
I've had some great entries so far -- the world's cutest puppies, husbands, beautiful snowflakes and a drawn-on mustache! -- but I'd love some more entries. I know this has been really last minute, but let's make a final effort, yeah? Yeah!
DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. I'll announce the winner tomorrow at midday!
(Makes me LOL using that banner. Always feel slightly weird when it's got my face on it!)

I cannot be alone in loving these adverts, right?
French Connection is a bit of a hit and miss brand for me. To be honest, it's slightly out of my price range (I'm a broke student, blah blah blah) but I do own two dresses from there - and even though I bought them about four years ago, they are still two of the best and most simply brilliant pieces I own. So I suppose I am a fan, even if I rarely actually go there.
But I definitely think lately that there's been a move at French Connection to appeal to me. Well, not personally, to me... but you know. people like me. And you! Something just really really appeals to me about these adverts. It's the half-sarcastic tone, I think. French Connection do have a knack for memorable campaigns (remember Fashion vs Style?) but this is the best yet.
And did I mention that that beautiful blue trench should be in my life?

HEY LADIES (and gents, of course. I'm an equal opportunity employer.) Want to hang out with me this weekend at London Fashion Weekend? Of course you do!
The brilliant and charming Michelle over at 3 Mobile Buzz has given me and a lucky plus one (I.E. YOU, MAYBE) a ticket for London Fashion Weekend. If you're free this Saturday from 9.30am til 7pm and can get to Somerset House, read on!
3 is offering free Twitter throughout February and March, so I'll be using a borrowed HTC Hero phone to Twitter from the catwalk. This is totally where I need your help: I'm a bit ridiculously slow when it comes to phones, it has to be said. (And this is incredibly good timing: I dropped my 4 year old phone in a glass of orange juice last week. Whoops.)
All you guys have to do to win the chance to be my plus one is to Twitpic me @wolfwhistle an image of your favourite FREE thing. (Although the best things in life are free, remember not to send me any birds and the bees pictures, thanks...)
This is a picture of the best thing in my life that's free:
Although, I have to admit, he does cost me some money in keeping him in Double Decker chocolate bars.
I'm running a little late with this competition due to a problem with my broken doorbell versus a DHL delivery (sorry, DHL!) so you have til MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY to tweet me your pictures! I'll announce the winner by midday on Friday. Go!

I love Fashion 156 and look forward to each new issue, but without a doubt my favourites are the London Fashion Week preview issues that give me sneaky little glimpses of upcoming designers newest collections.
I love Derek Lawlor last season (my post on the show is here) and this dress made me gasp, certain that I'll be just as in love with his new designs.
My other favourites include this fantastic Alice Palmer dress - what can I say? Lately I am all about LONG. This is just so striking.
And I love this gorgeous knitted dress by the infinitely talented Craig Lawrence. Perfect.
Don't forget to go here to see the whole amazing preview!

I wish my life had nothing bad in it. That's kind of an impossible task, though. But luckily for me, my life does have Nothing Bad (proper noun, yeeeah) in it.
It's a new online magazine that is the brainchild of Katie Coleslaw and Georgina Bacchus, two mega-talented and mega-hot babes who are endlessly inspiring in a whole range of media, including Katie's photographs, Georgina's prop designs and both of their excellent/ridiculous DJ sets.
The first issue is fantastic, featuring articles on the girls from Young & Lost, Biba (written by Mademoiselle Robot) , The Catoralist and an amazing culture section which I lovelovelove, not to mention loads more.
And speaking of love, how amazing is this image from their Valentine's Day shoot?
Oh and, yeah - I'll be blogging for them there, too. Read my first article At 13 I Just Wanted Boobs!

I always look forward to Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayoc's Vena Cava show every season. (Wait, did I write that exact same sentence last season. How uninspired.) ANYWAY. I looked this season and again it was nice. (Good writing today, huh? It's Sunday, give me a break.)
Photo from Refinery 29.
Love the My Little Pony ponytail (!), mesh top and weapon rings.
And this dress. This dress!
But, to be honest, it wasn't my favourite season of theirs. It's all a bit too 1990's somehow - even though that decade is definitely my frame of reference for dressing lately. The black turtlenecks, the high-waisted skater skirts, the floppy hats: it all felt a little too much for me. They do have that trendy girl vibe down pat, I have to admit. This is what the cool girls want to wear right now.
These are my five favourites, especially the first dress and that perfect black maxi skirt below.
Touching the floor = yes please.
Photos from Style.com.
P.S. Vena Cava = hearts = Valentine's Day.
Hope you're all having a lovely one!

You know: the internet is dangerous. It's a dangerous place for my purse-strings and for my heart strings. It's too easy to fall in love with one hundred and one amazing things EVERY DAY. But I am poor and I am behaving, so lately I'm just window shopping. Mostly.
But I am thinking about signing up to the swap shop on CovertCandy. I'm a poor student, so the thought of an online swap shop is massively appealing right now - I like how I could get something for nothing! Has anyone swapped for good stuff on there yet?
And, also -- dangerously -- I am falling in love with the vintage clothes at CovertCandy. So much of my wardrobe is vintage clothes and I just find a decent vintage clothing website so hard to resist.
My favourites right include this amazing jumper. Bows + polka dots + grey... It's like a checklist entitled 'Things That Amy Loves.'
And this playsuit. WOW.
(Although I think I'm too much of a wimp to wear it.)
P.S. Most adorable model everrrrr?
I'm trying to be good and not spend but... these lycra leggings are too scrumptious, too awesome and too ME to leave behind.
THEY WILL BE MINE.
