Sorry I've not been around much, guys! I've got a lot of uni work stress going on. Things as usual will be resumed here mid next week, hopefully... after I've slept for a few days.
Just wanted to write quickly about these sneakers that I proper lol'ed at. Gold for command personnel, red for engineering and communications and blue for science and medical - it's Star Trek trainers!
You can buy them (provided you're in America) from here at Paylessfor only $50, which I personally think is a bargain. Think of all the geeky little in-jokes you and strangers will have when you're wearing these bad boys. (Man, I wish we had Payless. They always have stuff I end up getting really excited about.)
I was just trying to think which colour I'd be, but to be honest, I don't think I'd have ever made it out of the Fleet Academy. At least I know my limitations, right?

Freaking. Awesome. Aiiiii. I like the red ones :o)

I actually completely adore these, which seems entirely out of character until I confess my secret love for Will Riker (early Next Generation) and Wesley Crusher (late Next Generation, after he joined Starfleet and stopped wearing those dodgy jumpers).
As a nurse (medical), I would wear blue, but would secretly covet the reds until I went back to the Academy and re-trained as a Starfleet historian (communications). Of course then they would have to make me my very own PURPLE ones (red and blue, see?) and I would be SPECIAL.

As someone that had a full Starfleet uniform aged 10, including talking coms badge and beeping tricorder, I'd like to think of this as the fashion forward grown-up's alternative, I'll have one in every colour please. Today I'm feeling....science and medical.

Rii: I thought you might!
Hannah: Purple would be INTENSE.
R: I thought of you when I saw these! I don't think they ship here, but I hope so.
Harry: :)
