Business in the front, Party on the side

When I first saw this image on Go Fug Yourself I couldn't understand why it was being featured. After all, Heather and Jessica of GFY spend their time mocking and criticising celebrity outfits and I happened to think that this dress worn by Christina Ricci was gorgeous.

I love the classic vintage look, the beautiful steel grey colour and how perfectly it fits her. The embroidery does remind me bit too much of a map to her ovaries, but on the whole I think its rather lovely.

And then:

I'm the first person to get behind a beautiful exposed back on a lady. I think it's sexy without being slutty - well, usually. In this case all I could look at was the sideboob.

And then, whilst idly browsing the net, I stumbled across this rather revealing shot of the usually classy Anne Hathaway.

 

To be quite honest, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I'm scared if she moves too quickly all her goods will be on display. 

Now, the sideboob is often featured in shots of tabloid favourites like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears but the difference here is that these two ladies are both wearing beautiful formal gowns on the red carpet and there's STILL sideboob a-plenty going on.

Does two make a trend? I showed these pictures to my boyfriend R and he commented "Ah, the sideboob. It's the new cleavage."
