I always enjoy it when street style websites like The Sartorialist or Alta Mira NYC feature an older lady or gentleman. It's a poignant reminder that while trends and fashions may fade, true style doesn't. Therefore, I was delighted to discover a fantastic new street style blog called Advanced Style!
Like other street style photographers, Advanced Style aims to capture those fabulous men and women with a great sense of personal style, but, unlike other blogs, AS remains strictly focused on the older generations and those decorated by a few more years. Advanced Style also takes submissions, so keep your eyes open and your camera ready!
These pictures and the others on the site are all fantastic, but I saved the best until last! My personal favourite: Zelda Kaplan, 92, Philanthropist and women's rights activist, is still partying the night away and enjoying life to the fullest. I only hope to be as vivacious, gorgeous and creative as she is at that age. What an inspiration!
Dagnammit, if I'd known! If only I'd known. I saw the rudest looking septuagenarian b-boy ever recently.
